New year, new outlook

After all the hoopla last summer we have seen no truely lasting affects from the oil spill.
God had mercy on us!

Currently the water is clean and clear and cold (just like it should be).
But it (water temp) is warming quickly into the upper 50s and we have been seeing some promising signs of some good upcoming spring fishing.
Sheepshead have been the mainstay catch throughout this winter, especially at the Gulf State Park Pier and Perdido Pass.
Live shrimp have worked OK at the Pass, but the best bait (by far) is the beach ghost shrimp that live a foot or so under the sand in the water.
